The special feature of this FREE emergency call app is that in the event of an emergency, the affected user (f/m/d) can send an emergency call to our WIS sign language interpreter center as well as to the police or fire department / rescue services in German-speaking countries (D, A, CH, LI) and abroad (worldwide) to the responsible embassies / consulates / foreign offices.
In the current test phase, our sign language interpreting center is available for the first time from Monday to Friday from 08:00 – 16:00, as we have unfortunately not yet received any financial support from the state for a 24/7 service.

The mobile emergency call button can save lives so easily. It is small and inconspicuous and very easy to use, making it particularly suitable for the deaf, hard of hearing, blind, speech impaired (aphasics) and even deaf-blind people who can feel and click.
The emergency call button is connected to our WIS Emergency App via Bluetooth and, when pressed, sends an emergency call with all the necessary information to our sign language interpreting center as well as to the police or fire department / rescue services in German-speaking countries (D, A, CH, LI) and abroad (worldwide) to the responsible embassies / consulates / foreign offices, as well as to your trusted persons stored in the app.
Information and setup for the WIS emergency call app
Download the app from the Google Playstore or the Apple App Store. Then open it and follow the instructions. The video on the right will help you to understand all the settings and functions.
With the additional information you enter in our app, you can be better helped in an emergency, as information on allergies, medication required or other illnesses can be transmitted to emergency services.
The simple operation in an emergency, with prefabricated buttons, enables you to provide information in an emergency without speaking.
The optional emergency call button, which is connected to the app, allows you to call for help quickly in an emergency if you can’t reach your phone.
The additional helper profile enables people who can help you in an emergency to be alerted directly and come to your aid if something happens to you.
In addition, the emergency call with all the necessary information is sent to our sign language interpreting center as well as to the police or fire department / rescue services in German-speaking countries (D, A, CH, LI) and abroad (worldwide) to the responsible embassies / consulates / foreign offices.

The WIS emergency call button allows you to make an emergency call when this is no longer possible.
The WIS emergency button can only be used in conjunction with the WIS Emergency app and must be within range of your smartphone for the emergency call to be sent.

How it works:
Press 1 x briefly
Sends a test alarm to your 5 first responders via the channels you have stored
Press 2 x
sends an emergency call to the fire department / rescue service* and your 5 first responders via the channels you have stored.
Press for longer than 2 seconds
sends an emergency call to the police* and your 5 first responders via the channels you have stored.
